The Story of Patek Philippe

Founded in 1839, Patek Philippe is the last independent, family-owned Genevan watch manufacture. With a vibrant, uninterrupted operating history spanning nearly 180 years, the company benefits from a unique legacy of tradition and innovation.

From Antoine Norbert de Patek’s encounter with Jean Adrien Philippe to Thierry Stern’s presidency, from the first pocket watches to the very latest technologies in timekeeping.

In 2014, Patek Philippe celebrated its 175th anniversary. The Genevan company ranks among the oldest Swiss watchmaking manufactures that have been in business without interruption.

PATEK PHILIPPE CALATRAVA DIAMOND RIBBON JOAILLERIE

The Patek Philippe Diamond Ribbon Joaillerie is now available in a new white gold design with a slightly larger diameter, increased from 33.3 mm to 36.5 mm. As a result, the distinctive diamond embellishments orbiting the case like gymnasts’ twirling ribbons and the spiraling circles of graduated diamonds adorning the dial make an even greater impression.

Beneath this radiant exterior beats the caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement, enabling the watch to maintain its slim, elegant profile.
