Pilots Watch

The pilots watch was first created in 1904 by Cartier but the design was re-invented for pilots in the two world wars and this is what today’s pilot watches are based on.
There’s a bit of leeway when it comes to what, exactly, the key design elements of a modern-day pilot’s watch are, but the basic requirement are a clean, legible dial design, usually employing a black dial with white, off-white, or (occasionally) coloured markers making it easy for pilots to read when hurtling through the sky.
